Itinerary

Meeting at St Denis airport at 11.55am. Check-in and boarding of flight MK843 to Cape Town (via Mauritius). Take-off at 2.55pm, arrival at 9.30pm local time. Welcome by your driver and transfer to Fountains 3* hotel.

Breakfast at the hotel. Free morning and lunch. Departure for a panoramic city tour of Cape Town. You'll discover the Castle of Good Hope, the old docks, the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront, the Woodstock district and its designer craft stores in the Old Biscuit Mill gallery. Lunch on your own. In the afternoon, climb to the top of Signal Hill for a South African champagne aperitif overlooking Cape Town. Check-in, dinner and overnight at Fountains 3*.

Breakfast at the hotel. A day dedicated to discovering the Cape of Good Hope peninsula. Cruise to seal island at Hout Bay. Then visit Simon's Town and its colony of over 700 penguins. Fish lunch. Continuation to the Cape of Good Hope. Back to Cape Town. Stop on the road to visit an ostrich farm. Dinner of African specialities in a restaurant. Overnight at Fountains 3* hotel.

Breakfast at the hotel. A day dedicated to discovering the Wine Road. Visit to Stellenbosch. Wine tasting and lunch at an estate. Return to Cape Town and discover the Bo Kaap district, with its brightly-colored houses. Special meeting with a local family. Malay cooking class and dinner at a local's home. Return and overnight at Fountains 3* hotel.

Morning snack. Transfer to Cape Town airport and assistance in boarding your flight to Durban. Welcome by your new local French-speaking guide. Continuation to Hluhluwe. Lunch at the lodge. Depart for a 4x4 safari accompanied by your French-speaking ranger on the tracks of the Zulu Nyala Reserve. Dinner and overnight at Zulu Nyala Heritage 3*.

Morning snack. Drive to St. Lucia, then set off on a 4x4 safari with French-speaking guide in the heart of the Isimangaliso Wetland Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The reserve borders the beaches of the Indian Ocean and is home to numerous species of antelope and birds, as well as rhinoceros, buffalo... Your safari continues to Cape Vidal, where you can enjoy the beach that stretches as far as the eye can see, along the vegetation dunes. Barbecue on the beach, then free time for swimming or snorkelling, weather permitting. Return to St Lucia, then to Zulu Nyala. Dinner and overnight at Zulu Nyala Heritage 3* lodge.

Morning snack. Departure for Swaziland. Cross the border and drive to the Hlane Reserve. Lunch en route. Depart on a 4x4 and walking safari with an French-speaking ranger guide, in search of rhinos. Continue to your hotel. Check-in, dinner and overnight at Mountain Inn 3*.

Breakfast. Drive to Kruger Park. Stop in a Swazi village and meet the locals, followed by a performance of traditional Swazi dances. Lunch in the village. Border crossing and on to Mpumalanga. Settle into your tented camp on the edge of Kruger Park. Sunset aperitif by the lake on the camp concession. Dinner and overnight at Unyati Tented Camp 3*.

Early breakfast in the bush, in the camp concession. Then off for a day's 4x4 safari in the Kruger National Park. Picnic lunch in the park. Boma dinner and overnight at Unyati Tented Camp 3*.

Breakfast. Departure for the discovery of the Blyde River canyon. Lunch. Drive to Pilgrim's Rest and free time in the town to explore this listed former mining village. Continuation to Graskop. Dinner and overnight at Graskop Hotel 3*.

Breakfast. Departure for Johannesburg. Stop to visit a macadamia nut factory and taste Amarula, a liqueur made from the fruit of the marula tree, native to the African continent and widely grown in South Africa. Continuation to Johannesburg. Lunch en route. Check-in at the hotel and Gin tasting. Dinner and overnight at Hotel Indaba 4*.

Breakfast. Tuk Tuk tour of Soweto township. Soweto is located southwest of Johannesburg. This vast "city within a city" spider network is home to 1,300,000 souls. Soweto owes its international fame to political protests inspired by Black American theology and Black Power. Lunch at a Shebeen restaurant. Return to hotel. Free dinner and overnight at Hotel Indaba 3*.

Breakfast at the hotel. Day and meals at leisure until transfer to the airport. Assistance in boarding your flight MK852 to La Réunion (via Mauritius).
